How do I open an archive?
Open Unzo and tap Extract → A single file, then pick the archive — or, from any app (Files, Mail, a chat app), tap the archive and choose Open with Unzo or share it to Unzo. Unzo detects the format automatically.
How do I open a split (multi-part) archive?
Tap Extract → A split archive and pick the folder that holds all the parts
(.001/.002…, .part1.rar…, or .r00…) — not a single
part. Unzo can’t see a file’s neighbours, so it joins them from the folder you choose; you don’t pick
the parts one by one.
It asks for a password
The archive is encrypted. Enter the password the sender used. If it’s wrong, Unzo will say so and let you try again.
“A part is missing”
The archive is split into multiple parts (for example .001, .002, or
.part1.rar). Make sure every part is in the folder you picked via
Extract → A split archive. If one is missing, you’ll need to obtain the complete set.
Can Unzo create a RAR file?
No. Unzo opens RAR archives but creates zip and 7z only — RAR compression is proprietary. Use 7z for strong compression that any standard tool can open.
Where do my extracted files go?
They’re kept in Unzo’s own document storage and shown on the result screen, where you can preview them and save or share them out. On iOS they also appear in the Files app under “On My iPhone › Unzo”. They stay on your device until you remove them — in Unzo (Settings → File cache) or from the Files app.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything happens on your device — no uploads, no tracking. See our Privacy Policy.
